Cross River Rail – Canopy

With the Cross River Rail project still ongoing we where pleased to be awarded our second part in the overall project with this canopy structure. Along with the normal construction set of drawings we had also been provided point cloud data to enable us to align with the existing structure as close as possible to minimize site works during erection. Cross River Rail has progressed from early works into construction and is now on its way to being delivered. The project is now active at more than a dozen worksites. South East Queensland’s population is rising, putting our transport network under pressure. The rail network is already nearing capacity and is constrained by a single river crossing and just four inner-city stations, causing the bottleneck that limits our ability to run more trains. Using our steel detailing expertise we where able to coordinate design with the survey point cloud data all within Tekla structures.
