Scanning Stations

The Project Outline

Located a short distance from our office is the Gold Coast Turf Club which continually hold events throughout the year. On this occasion Precise was provided the task to use our laser scanning services to capture the existing state of the Glasshouse building so we could BIM model and provide a 3D DWG’s for the client to then plan the next event. Over 2 days with our Trimble X7 we were able to scan a total of 86 locations so we could then process and align one point cloud to be used for overlay of the new BIM model. As always, we inserted all point cloud data into Tekla structures and began the process of modelling in walls, lights, ceilings & all materials/assets of use so our client had a full working model to work with.
