Timberlink Australia – Manufacturing Facility

TimberLink Australia recently decided to add this new facility to its existing site at Tarpeena, South Australia. Precise Digital Construction was engaged to provided steel detailing based on the design drawings provided. We had all hands-on deck using our in-house workflows to have multiple detailers working alongside each other within Tekla Structures and using Share model. We would upload our progress in Trimble Connect to allow our client to be able to see real time progress and allow checks and modifications to be made at the same time. Once the final construction package was issued to the client there was 679 assembly 1356 part & 16 marking plans drawings in total. Although the design itself was simple there was a large amount of coordination required from steel detailing to shop drawings due to there being not much repetitiveness, this put together with the detail required on the fabrication shop drawings required several days to get over the line to the client.
